Equipment Maintenance Technician

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to support production operations in its Gul Circle, Genetic Science Division. The role involves maintaining equipment in a clean‑room, cGMP environment to ensure continuous, safe, and compliant manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Perform shift duties to support production and execute preventive maintenance according to schedule.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety standards in production and maintenance areas.
• Assist engineers with evaluations, experiments, troubleshooting and improvement projects.
• Provide equipment support to minimise machine breakdowns and repair time.
• Ensure work complies with ISO 13485:2003 and 21 CFR 820 requirements.
• Document preventive‑maintenance results and uphold data integrity.
• Act as a buddy for new colleagues during on‑the‑job training.
• Participate actively in continuous‑improvement activities.

Required profile

• Minimum NITEC or Diploma in an engineering‑related field.
• At least 2 years of technical or engineering experience preferred; fresh graduates are also considered.
• Experience working in a cGMP environment is a plus.

Required skills

• Preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Equipment troubleshooting and repair.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820 compliance.
• Understanding of cGMP clean‑room requirements.
• Ability to work safely with hazardous or toxic materials.
