Facilities Mechanical Technician

About the role

The Facilities Mechanical Technician ensures the reliability and efficiency of mechanical systems within our facilities. You will lead preventive and corrective maintenance programs, coordinate with vendors, and support the installation and commissioning of new equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) work orders, generate and close tickets promptly.
• Liaise with vendors, obtain permits, and track progressive replacement regimes.
• Maintain and update SOPs, risk assessments, and pre‑task plans.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis using 8D reports and 5‑Whys, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Supervise outsourced service providers to ensure compliance with scope and standards.
• Document equipment history, track spare‑part inventory, and use maintenance software for reporting.
• Provide feedback on design concepts for new capital equipment and oversee site installation milestones.
• Support start‑up testing, commissioning, and SMART facilities initiatives while enforcing safety and environmental policies.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or facilities engineering.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
