Full Stack Developer (Java/Spring Boot)

About the role

Singtel is building an AI‑first telco and is looking for a Full Stack Developer with strong backend engineering experience to join the Paragon Core Engineering team. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services while also contributing to frontend work when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build, enhance, and maintain RESTful APIs.
• Implement event‑driven architectures with Apache Kafka.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, SREs, product managers and other stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot production issues and support incident resolution.
• Monitor, optimise, and improve application performance, scalability, reliability and observability.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation initiatives.
• Ensure coding standards, security requirements, testing practices and quality engineering principles are followed.
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement of engineering practices.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in Java (Java 17 or Java 21 preferred).
• Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of application and system security principles.
• Experience building microservices‑based applications.
• Familiarity with Apache Kafka and event‑driven design.
