Global Indirect Commodity Manager – Machinery

About the role

Advanced Energy is seeking a Global Indirect Commodity Manager to lead sourcing and supplier management for machinery, capital equipment, tools, and IT assets across its worldwide operations. The role ensures continuity of indirect spend, drives cost‑effective solutions, and supports the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing and contract negotiations for machinery, capital equipment, tools, and IT hardware, software, and services.
• Develop and execute global category strategies, conduct spend analysis, and segment suppliers.
• Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Partner with business stakeholders to align sourcing plans and ensure compliance.
• Oversee global spend, optimize costs, and monitor supplier performance on quality, delivery, and cost.
• Facilitate annual business reviews, maintain supplier scorecards, and manage purchase requisitions and PO confirmations when needed.
• Support Advanced Energy’s manufacturing factories, design centers, and global service locations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in strategic procurement or commodity management, preferably in industrial machinery or IT.
• Background in supply chain management within an electronics manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to develop and deploy comprehensive category and commodity strategies.
• Experience collaborating with business leaders to implement sourcing initiatives.
• Hands‑on experience with commodity spend analysis and supplier contract management.
