Global Planning Manager

About the role

Jabil is seeking a Global Planning Manager to lead planning and inventory control functions across its worldwide manufacturing sites. The role will partner with the Business Unit Materials Manager and Operations teams to develop and execute material strategies that support customer contracts and revenue forecasts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deploy material strategies in collaboration with the Global Business Unit Materials Manager and Business Unit leadership.
• Work with Jabil Operations to create advanced planning solutions that improve performance, service levels, and customer satisfaction.
• Present Jabil planning processes and strengths to customers.
• Provide strategic direction, coaching, and mentorship to the planning and inventory control staff.
• Ensure the Master Production Schedule (MPS) at each site aligns with contracts, liability agreements, and revenue forecasts while considering material availability, equipment capacity, and staffing.
• Drive systematic demand receipt, evaluation, and fulfillment across the business unit.
• Manage overall demand planning, capacity analysis, and balance strategic and tactical capacity projections across manufacturing sites.
• Oversee product launch and transfer plans to maintain continuous supply to manufacturing sites and customers.
• Supervise disposition and transfer of residual inventory to appropriate Jabil factories.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead and provide strategic direction to materials and planning teams.
• Experience presenting planning processes and initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong coaching and mentorship skills to develop team capabilities.
• Ability to align production schedules with contractual and financial requirements.
• Experience managing demand planning, capacity analysis, and product launch/transfer activities.
