Housekeeping Runner

About the role

The Housekeeping Runner supports the daily operations of the hotel by handling linen and laundry logistics across all floors. This full‑time position ensures that clean linens are delivered promptly, rooms are stocked, and public areas remain orderly, while upholding Marriott’s service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Transport linen carts with clean laundry from the laundry room to storage rooms on each floor.
• Replenish linens in linen rooms according to the distribution form for each floor.
• Return carts to the designated area at the end of each shift.
• Clean and organize items in the laundry room, supply closets, linen rooms, and uniform rooms.
• Identify and report preventative maintenance or safety issues in public areas and guest rooms.
• Follow all company safety, security, and confidentiality policies.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests, assist individuals with disabilities, and respond to service needs.

Required profile

• Ability to lift, carry, and place objects up to 55 lb unaided and heavier items with assistance.
• Capability to push and pull equipment over uneven surfaces.
• Good manual dexterity, hand‑eye coordination, and ability to work at various heights and positions (standing, kneeling, bending).
• Professional appearance and clear, courteous communication.
• Willingness to report maintenance problems, safety hazards, and follow training requirements.
