Intern, Software Development Engineer (Localization)

About the role

The localization team at Autodesk is looking for a motivated, technically curious intern for a 6-month full-time internship (11 January to 25 June 2027). You will work with localization, language and software engineering professionals on machine translation quality and continuous localization, gaining hands-on experience with AI/ML, Python, cloud technologies, automation and multilingual data. Recruitment drives start in person from 9 October to 6 November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Machine translation and quality: investigate quality and workflow issues, evaluate MT quality with automated metrics and multilingual test data, support testing and automation, and explore NLP, generative AI and large language models in localization
• Continuous localization and cloud engineering: develop and test cloud-native workflows on AWS, write Python services and automation scripts, integrate with APIs and GitHub, and support automated testing, monitoring and production readiness
• Document findings and collaborate with localization, language and engineering teams across multiple locations

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, graduating in 2027 or 2028
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and an interest in localization, AI and cloud technologies

Required skills

• Programming or scripting, preferably Python
• Basic understanding of software development, APIs, data structures and debugging
• Some exposure to machine learning, NLP, cloud computing or distributed systems
• Familiarity with Git or another source-control system
• Preferred: Python, data processing or automated testing; AWS, Docker, serverless or event-driven architectures; REST APIs, webhooks, GitHub APIs or CI/CD; multilingual data
