Key Account Assistant Manager – FMCG

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Key Account Assistant Manager to drive sales growth and profitability within the fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. The role focuses on achieving volume and distribution targets while building strong relationships with major modern‑trade retailers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute customer‑focused sales strategies aligned with business goals and market insights.
• Achieve volume and distribution targets to drive sales growth and profitability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key account contacts at major retailers such as FairPrice, Giant, and Sheng Siong.
• Manage and optimise promotional budgets to ensure efficient ROI.
• Negotiate pricing, promotional allowances and trading terms to secure mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Collaborate with marketing, supply chain and sales teams to deliver effective marketing executions and seamless operations.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer insights to inform strategy.
• Lead business reviews and present regular performance updates to internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
• Proven success in sales or account management within the FMCG industry.
• Experience managing key accounts for large modern‑trade retailers.
• Strong negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to leverage data insights for decision‑making.
• Analytical capability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
