Lead Data Scientist

About the role

HP is hiring a Lead Data Scientist in Singapore. The role analyzes and interprets complex data sets using statistical techniques to find trends, patterns and insights that support business decisions and improve performance. It also recommends efficient, automated processes for large-scale data analysis and model development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead data mining with modern tools and programming languages.
• Manage relationships with management and business partners to foster data-driven innovation and provide domain expertise in cross-organization projects.
• Lead data science, IT and engineering project teams, ensuring insights are communicated regularly and reviewing designs, models and data compliance.
• Work with development teams and business units so models are scalable and fit the delivered solution.
• Represent the data science team across phases of larger, more complex projects.
• Mentor less experienced staff and develop monitoring metrics to guide the future direction of models and digital solutions.
• Deliver complex predictive and prescriptive models, define success measures and track performance.
• Turn insights into visualizations that communicate business value.

Required profile

• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field, or commensurate experience.
• Typically 8-10 years of experience, preferably in data analytics, statistical modeling, machine learning or AI.
• Preferred certifications: Python, SQL and Spark.
