Lecturer - Mechanical Engineering

About the role

As a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering, you will design and deliver engaging lectures, mentor students, and maintain strong industry links to keep the curriculum current.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver lectures in automation technologies & smart systems or mechanical systems maintenance and operations.
• Guide and mentor students in their academic and personal development.
• Lead industry or consultancy projects to stay abreast of professional trends.
• Build and sustain partnerships with industry and educational institutions.
• Participate in regular industry attachments to update skills and knowledge.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years hands‑on experience in industrial automation/robotics/smart manufacturing OR mechanical systems maintenance, industrial piping, valve operations, or machinery maintenance.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
• Passion for teaching, strong communication skills and ability to mentor students.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of at least one area such as Industry 4.0, IoT‑enabled predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, cybersecurity or sustainability in manufacturing.
