Lecturer / Senior Lecturer – Brand Experience Motion Design

About the role

The School of Design & Media is seeking a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to lead teaching and research in brand experience motion design. You will shape curriculum, mentor students, and build industry connections to keep the programme at the cutting edge of creative practice.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver lectures, tutorials, studio sessions, workshops and online learning covering motion branding, motion graphics, visual storytelling, kinetic typography, digital content and brand experience design.
• Develop, review and enhance curriculum, learning resources and assessment strategies aligned with industry standards and evolving creative trends.
• Mentor students on academic performance, portfolio and show‑reel development, internships, competitions and career pathways.
• Lead industry‑integrated learning initiatives such as live briefs, client projects, campaign competitions and collaborative productions.
• Build and maintain relationships with creative agencies, production studios, technology partners and professional networks.
• Contribute to applied research and innovation in emerging motion design technologies, including real‑time content creation, immersive media and generative AI.
• Support programme administration, quality assurance, outreach and Continuing Education & Training initiatives.

Required profile

• Relevant academic qualification in design, motion graphics, visual communication or a related field.
• Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in motion design, motion graphics, brand experience design or a closely related creative discipline.
• Experience in a leading creative agency, motion design studio, production house, brand consultancy or multinational brand environment is an advantage.
• Strong command of motion design principles and contemporary creative practices.
