Lift Maintenance Manager

About the role

The Lift Maintenance Manager leads a team of zone managers, team leaders and technicians to ensure lift systems operate safely and efficiently. You will develop training, oversee maintenance activities, and act as the primary contact for clients and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and motivate lift maintenance staff, assigning tasks and managing workloads.
• Develop and deliver training programs on industry practices, safety protocols and new technologies.
• Ensure all planned and emergency repairs are completed on time, maximizing lift uptime.
• Maintain compliance with lift safety regulations, building codes and ISO standards; lead safety audits and risk assessments.
• Communicate proactively with clients about service schedules, maintenance plans and any service disruptions.
• Monitor lift performance data, generate reports for senior management and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies such as predictive maintenance, IoT solutions and lift enhancements.
• Collaborate with other departments and external vendors on upgrades and new tool adoption.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in lift maintenance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Proven track record in managing lift maintenance operations, safety compliance and client relations.

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of lift systems and components.
• Experience with predictive maintenance and IoT applications for lift equipment.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and local lift safety regulations.
• Ability to conduct safety audits, risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
