About the role

The Lobby Lounge Manager leads the daily operations of the Lobby Lounge at Shangri‑La Singapore, ensuring a seamless, high‑quality guest experience in a premium urban retreat. This role combines service excellence, team leadership, and financial stewardship.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all Lobby Lounge activities, guaranteeing smooth service delivery and exceptional guest satisfaction.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of food and beverage menus, including seasonal changes and service standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, food‑safety, and fire‑life‑safety regulations.
• Conduct regular front‑ and back‑of‑house inspections to monitor quality, cleanliness, set‑up, and maintenance.
• Build strong guest relationships, gather feedback, and resolve complaints professionally.
• Support marketing initiatives through market surveys, trend analysis, and strategy implementation.
• Recruit, roster, train, and manage performance of the team, applying disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Monitor inventory, requisitions, breakage, and operational costs, applying cost‑control measures.
• Assist F&B leadership with budgeting, forecasting, CAPEX planning, and P&L management.
• Maintain accurate records, outlet reports, SOPs, logbooks, and guest‑feedback systems.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of Food & Beverage experience, with at least 4 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong leadership ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams.
• Excellent guest‑service mindset with strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Financial and operational acumen, including inventory, budgeting, and cost control.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
