Manufacturing Operator I

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Manufacturing Operator I to join its cleanroom production line for GeneChip® probe arrays in Singapore. You will be responsible for setting up and operating equipment while ensuring compliance with strict quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Follow ISO 13485:2003 and 21 CFR Part 820 requirements and report any non‑compliance.
• Perform routine, repetitive tasks within defined parameters and operate production equipment.
• Maintain cleanroom housekeeping standards and adhere to GMP and safety procedures.
• Handle, store, and dispose of chemicals safely, using required PPE and reporting spills or exposures.
• Notify Manufacturing Engineers of tool downtime or product defects and provide feedback on unsafe acts.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary education with an NTC in an engineering‑related field.
• Ability to lift 40 lb without assistance and stand for an entire shift.
• Willingness to work with hazardous/toxic materials in a cleanroom environment.
• Strict adherence to cleanroom dress code (no hair products, jewelry, makeup, etc.).
