Manufacturing Technician

About the role

As a Manufacturing Technician at Applied Materials you will work hands‑on in a cleanroom environment building, testing and repairing high‑value display and wafer‑fabrication equipment. You will contribute to the production of the chips and advanced displays that power modern devices.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams and parts lists to assemble, repair or test electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies.
• Perform electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repairs under moderate supervision.
• Receive parts, conduct audits, inspect for defects and suggest process improvements.
• Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps to validate assemblies and sub‑assemblies.
• Complete required documentation, data entry and, when needed, computer programming, software installation or repairs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in semiconductor or display manufacturing, or comparable experience.
• Ability to work under moderate supervision in a cleanroom setting.
