Operations and Customer Quality Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an Operations and Customer Quality Engineer to develop and apply quality standards for semiconductor and advanced display equipment. The role focuses on designing inspection methods, evaluating product precision, and ensuring compliance with both company and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and apply quality standards in line with company and customer specifications.
• Design, implement, and document inspection, testing, and evaluation procedures for products and production equipment.
• Prepare and manage documentation for inspection and testing processes, recommending corrective actions when needed.
• Gather operational and test data, evaluate results, and track qualification status.
• Review reliability test outcomes, determine disposition of non‑compliant products, and release qualification packs.
• Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to industry standards and specifications.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to adapt inspection devices and procedures.

Required profile

• Demonstrated conceptual knowledge in quality engineering and a willingness to broaden capabilities.
• Understanding of key business drivers within the semiconductor equipment sector.
• Ability to provide informal guidance to new team members.
• Strong problem‑solving skills using technical experience and judgment.
