Principal/Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

IRAS is hiring a Principal/Senior Internal Auditor to plan and carry out audits that provide assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, the quality of operational performance and the tax assessments raised.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct risk-based internal audits of IRAS's business and IT processes, including IT systems, and recommend improvements to governance, risk management and internal controls.
• Plan, manage and work with external audit service providers on technical IT audits.
• Assist, plan, organise and manage branch activities to support smooth branch operations.
• Assist, plan, organise and manage ad-hoc projects as required.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification, preferably in Accountancy, Business Administration, Information Technology / Computer Science, or professional accounting, analytics or IT qualifications.
• At least 5 years of job-related experience in auditing or analytics.
• Candidates with CIA, CISA, IT audit or data analytics experience will have an advantage.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, resourceful, self-motivated and meticulous.
• Good team player with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication and people management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in data analytics tools such as ACL or SAS software is an asset.
