Quality Engineer

About the role

As a Quality Engineer at Applied Materials in Singapore, you will ensure that our semiconductor and display manufacturing processes meet the highest quality standards. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to drive compliance, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance with internal audits, external ISO certifications and Applied Materials’ SSQA process.
• Develop, revise and maintain quality standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
• Design and implement testing and inspection methods to verify product and equipment quality.
• Identify systemic issues, lead continuous‑improvement initiatives and drive enterprise‑wide change management.
• Interact with customers, vendors and internal functional managers to resolve quality concerns and provide technical information.
• Coach, mentor and train teams on quality processes, reducing qualification cycle time while meeting reliability requirements.

Required profile

• Demonstrated depth or breadth of expertise in quality engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of internal and external quality standards, including ISO certifications.
• Ability to analyse data, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
