Regional Category Manager (Fresh)

About the role

Foodpanda, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is looking for an experienced Regional Category Manager (Fresh) to lead commercial strategy and operations for its Fresh categories across Dmart and Dark Store businesses spanning 11 markets for Foodora, foodpanda and Yemeksepeti. The role reports to the Head of Private Labels, Fresh and Commercial Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, define and implement commercial strategies for Fresh categories, covering category direction, vendor management and term negotiations, and oversee their implementation on the platform
• Build the portfolio's competitive edge in assortment, pricing, promotion and visibility
• Work with cross-functional teams such as Commercial, Campaigns, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations and Finance
• Build supplier partnerships, evaluate products and suppliers, negotiate and run business reviews, and recommend new products based on market trends
• Translate market knowledge and consumer insights into actionable opportunities, and manage commercial requirements for the portfolio
• Manage KPIs and forecasts in line with trade plans, and collaborate on product planning and promotions
• Stay up to date with market information and regulations, including food safety standards, quality assurance and government requirements
• Identify opportunities for product optimisation, cost reduction and margin improvement, and carry out ad-hoc tasks assigned by the company

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in similar or adjacent roles
• Degree in Business, Management, Supply Chain, Marketing or a related field
• Proven experience in commercial, sourcing or category management
• A background in e-commerce, supermarket or grocery is a plus
