Sample Preparation Technician I

About the role

Eurofins Scientific is seeking a Sample Preparation Technician I to join its laboratory team. The role involves preparing a wide variety of food, dietary supplement and other analytical samples to ensure homogeneity and compliance with GMP/GLP standards.

Key responsibilities

• Apply GMP/GLP principles in all sample‑handling activities.
• Perform sample preparation tasks such as labeling, transferring, milling, blending, weighing, and disposal, including the use of liquid nitrogen.
• Communicate sample information and any discrepancies to relevant personnel and assist in problem solving.
• Handle internal customer inquiries and collaborate with customer service coordinators to resolve issues.
• Introduce improvement ideas and support group initiatives.
• Learn and operate larger equipment and perform basic equipment maintenance or place work orders.
• Participate in cross‑training between food and dietary supplement preparation procedures.
• Maintain a safe, efficient work environment and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Regular attendance, punctuality and a commitment to company vision.
• Ability to work accurately in a laboratory setting and follow safety protocols.
• Willingness to learn new procedures and equipment.

Required skills

• Computer literacy (working knowledge of computers).
• Sample preparation techniques (labeling, weighing, milling, blending, liquid nitrogen handling).
• Basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
