Senior Associate, DevOps Engineer, SRE and Governance

About the role

The Release & Deployment Team governs, coordinates and executes approved production and non-production releases, delivering them securely, reliably and in line with change governance, audit, security and regulatory requirements. This Senior Associate role covers the end-to-end release and deployment lifecycle, from change review to post-deployment support, within a 24x7 environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end release and deployment lifecycle, including change review, planning, implementation, validation, reporting and post-implementation support.
• Review and validate Change Requests for implementation readiness, scope completeness, technical feasibility, risk assessment, rollback preparedness and governance compliance.
• Coordinate with Application Support, Engineering, Infrastructure, Middleware, Database, Security and Platform teams to resolve dependencies.
• Execute production, pre-production, DR and UAT deployments within approved change windows, following approved plans.
• Perform application releases, middleware deployments, database script execution, configuration updates, platform changes and privileged-access implementations.
• Manage privileged access with CyberArk and PAM solutions, including password retrieval, session management and secure credential handling.
• Maintain segregation of duties and capture deployment evidence such as logs, screenshots, session recordings and audit artifacts.
• Provide Level-1 operational support for release and deployment incidents, and take part in war rooms, incident bridges, troubleshooting calls and root cause investigations.
• Escalate risks and issues promptly to Release Managers, SMEs and leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, CI/CD adoption, runbook standardization and process optimization, and analyze release data to reduce risks.
• Maintain deployment procedures, SOPs and knowledge repositories, and support cross-training.

Required profile

• 4-8 years of experience in Release Management, Production Support, Change Management, DevOps Operations, Production Operations or IT Operations.
• Experience in banking or financial services and in regulated production environments with strong governance, audit, risk and security controls is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of release governance, change management, deployment controls and operational support processes.
• Ability to work under pressure during critical releases and to collaborate across Release Management, Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, Support and Business teams.

Required skills

• Linux administration, with working knowledge of Unix and Windows.
• Deployments across Production, Pre-Production, UAT and Disaster Recovery environments.
• Application deployment, middleware, environment and configuration management.
• Basic understanding of Oracle, PostgreSQL and SQL, and database deployment concepts.
• CyberArk, PAM, password vaulting and secure credential management.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps practices, release automation tools, OpenShift and modern deployment frameworks.
• ITIL, Change Management, Release Management and governance frameworks.
