Senior Associate/AVP, SRE Operate (Site Reliability Engineering)

About the role

DBS is hiring a Senior Associate/AVP for its Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Operate team at the DBS Asia Hub. The role is responsible for supporting production incidents and service disruptions, ensuring operational stability across assigned applications and services.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first line of support for production incidents and service disruptions.
• Execute recovery procedures through approved SOPs, runbooks and automated recovery tools.
• Ensure operational alerts and incidents are acknowledged and acted upon within defined SLAs.
• Take part actively in major incident management to minimise business impact.
• Build enough domain knowledge to support multiple applications and services within assigned domains.
• Drive adherence to operational procedures, governance standards and risk controls.
• Contribute to operational reporting, service reviews and continuous improvement, and promote a culture of ownership and accountability.
• Participate in knowledge sharing, cross-training and capability development programmes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in application support, production support, command centre operations, service operations or related technology operations.
• Experience supporting mission-critical applications in a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and on-call rotations.
• Good understanding of payments business processes and domain concepts is preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Linux, Unix, databases, middleware or cloud technologies.
• Strong understanding of ITSM disciplines: Incident, Problem, Change and Service Request Management.
• Experience with application monitoring, observability and operational tooling.
• Understanding of application architectures, middleware, databases, cloud technologies and distributed systems.
