Senior Quantity Surveyor – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team of an A1 main contractor in Singapore. The role involves managing both pre‑ and post‑contract activities across large‑scale building and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Handle pre‑ and post‑contract quantity surveying and commercial management.
• Prepare and review tender documents, bills of quantities, cost estimates and evaluate tenders.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Administer subcontract agreements, progress claims, variations, payments and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and commercial performance throughout the lifecycle.
• Review variation orders, extensions of time, loss & expense and contractual claims.
• Produce cost reports, forecasts and commercial updates for project management.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers on contractual matters.
• Identify commercial risks and support mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or related field.
• Relevant experience in building construction, civil or infrastructure projects in Singapore.
• Strong knowledge of measurement, tendering, contract administration, cost control and subcontract management.
• Experience handling variation orders, progress claims, final accounts and contractual claims.
• Good understanding of Singapore construction contracts and commercial practices.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and stakeholder management abilities.
