Senior Systems Engineer (Traction Power Systems)

About the role

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead the engineering and design of traction power systems for rail electrification projects. You will act as the package lead for high‑voltage and DC switchgear, trackside equipment, transformers, converters and auxiliary systems, ensuring timely and compliant delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of electrical packages (66 kV, 22 kV, 750 V DC, 1500 V DC) for traction power systems.
• Prepare and review schematic drawings, technical specifications, general arrangement and single‑line diagrams.
• Coordinate with Siemens offshore teams, external consultants, vendors and customers to finalize designs and meet submission deadlines.
• Support tender and bid activities with system‑engineering expertise.
• Develop conceptual engineering solutions and propose value‑adding improvements.
• Collaborate with Siemens AG design teams, project, interfacing and testing & commissioning groups.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years experience in rail electrification projects, preferably MRT.
• Strong knowledge of AC and DC electrification, control and protection systems.
• Experience handling medium to high‑complexity solutions and familiarity with local transportation regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in diverse environments.

• Auxiliary systems, SMS, IFIS, VLD, cable list preparation and BOQ estimation.
