Senior Technical Instructor – Semiconductor Training

About the role

Lam’s Customer Support Business Group is seeking a Senior Technical Instructor to lead dynamic training programs for field service engineers, customers, and internal teams. You will design and deliver classroom, hands‑on, virtual‑reality, and remote learning experiences that cover equipment operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and service procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical training through classroom sessions, labs, VR simulations, and remote formats.
• Support onboarding of new Field Service Engineers by reinforcing core fundamentals such as electrical, vacuum, RF, mechanical, schematics, safety, and troubleshooting.
• Review and continuously improve training materials, lab exercises, and assessments.
• Collaborate with senior instructors, global training teams, and subject‑matter experts to integrate product updates and field feedback.
• Maintain technical expertise on assigned platforms, complete required certifications, and stay current with product and service changes.
• Ensure the SEA Technical Training Center’s labs, VR systems, equipment, and classroom resources are ready and compliant with safety, quality, and audit standards.
• Identify training needs and capability gaps in partnership with Field Service Managers and regional teams.
• Analyze learner feedback to enhance training delivery and overall effectiveness.
• Contribute to digital learning initiatives such as AI‑enabled onboarding and scalable VR solutions.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.
• More than 5 years of experience in semiconductor equipment service or technical support.
• Proven ability to create engaging lesson plans and instructional content.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
