Site Engineer – Material Handling Systems

About the role

BEUMER Group Singapore is seeking a Site Engineer to lead the installation and alignment of high‑tech conveyor and material handling equipment at customer sites across Asia and occasionally Europe or the Middle East. The role combines hands‑on technical supervision with quality assurance and client interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the installation, alignment and commissioning of conveyor systems, baggage handling and sortation equipment according to schedule and cost estimates.
• Ensure all site paperwork, hours and actions are accurately recorded following company procedures.
• Inspect installations for workmanship quality, level, alignment, cleanliness and compliance with design plans.
• Protect customer property during handling and ensure safe material handling practices.
• Train and coordinate crews, subcontractors, electricians and safety officers to maintain technical standards.
• Close out installations promptly, manage punch‑list items and achieve customer satisfaction.
• Visit sites daily to monitor progress, resolve technical issues with design engineers and report status.

Required profile

• ITE (NITEC) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Willingness to travel throughout the Asia region with occasional trips to Europe or the Middle East.
• Strong understanding of construction and engineering projects.
• Minimum five years of site experience with material handling, conveyor or baggage handling systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and conflict‑management skills.
