Site Engineer – Signalling Systems

About the role

We are looking for a Site Engineer to lead the planning, coordination and implementation of signalling systems on‑site. The role works closely with internal teams, subcontractors and customers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct and coordinate engineering, civil, subcontractor and customer activities for signalling system design and on‑site implementation.
• Collaborate with the Construction/Installation Manager to monitor progress, manage schedules (CIP, TRIP, etc.) and prepare recovery plans when needed.
• Conduct regular site progress meetings, toolbox talks and ensure compliance with installation procedures, checklists and quality standards.
• Resolve drawing discrepancies and technical issues in liaison with the Drafting/BIM team.
• Monitor site manpower, material and equipment requirements and coordinate deliveries to meet project milestones.
• Maintain strict safety practices and ensure all documentation is signed, filed and ready for internal or external audits.

Required profile

• Minimum diploma or equivalent with 1‑3 years of related experience in construction or rail signalling projects.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Valid Class 3 driving licence (preferred).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
