Software Engineer Intern - PDMS-DPM Engineering

About the role

The Vault team's Product Data Management (PDM) team in Singapore is looking for a motivated intern to join its software engineering group. You will work alongside software engineers, product managers, designers and AI practitioners to build reliable, scalable and well-instrumented software, contributing to production-oriented projects and helping the team explore new approaches to AI-assisted product development. Recruitment runs in person from 9 October to 6 November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, implementation, testing and documentation of software components, APIs or internal developer tools, with team guidance
• Collaborate with engineers and partners to learn how product needs become technical requirements
• Investigate technical issues across services, data flows, dependencies and user experiences with mentor support
• Write maintainable code with unit, integration and end-to-end tests
• Take part in code reviews, technical design discussions, Agile planning and retrospectives
• Use logs, metrics, dashboards and user feedback to improve product quality
• Help with prototypes and experiments on AI-assisted workflows, data products and intelligent developer tools
• Communicate findings, trade-offs, risks and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, graduating in 2027 or 2028
• Experience building, testing or debugging software through coursework, projects, research, hackathons, open source, self-study or prior internships
• Familiarity with version control concepts and willingness to learn team-based development practices such as Git
• Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills, and curiosity about new technologies

Required skills

• Proficiency in one or more languages such as Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, C++, C# or Go
• Core computer science concepts: data structures, algorithms, object-oriented or functional programming and software design
• Preferred: cloud services, distributed systems, APIs, databases, SQL, data pipelines, event-driven architectures, automated testing, CI/CD, machine learning and generative AI
