SVP/VP, Full Stack Engineer (Wealth Management Technology)

About the role

DBS Bank is seeking a Senior Vice President, Full Stack Engineer, to provide strategic technical leadership in its Wealth Management Technology department. The role drives engineering, architecture and product strategy at platform level for digital, advisory and discretionary investment journeys serving retail, affluent and private banking customers. It involves managing a significant engineering organization with a long-term strategic vision.

Key responsibilities

• Shape the architecture and solutioning for enterprise-grade portfolio and wealth management platforms, and drive engineering, architecture and product strategies for digital portfolios, advisory-guided portfolios and DPM mandates for HNW and UHNW clients.
• Lead the design, development and delivery of full-stack solutions covering portfolio modelling, construction, automated/semi-automated rebalancing and mandate management across bonds, structured products and equities.
• Manage up to 6 squads of full-stack engineers, giving strategic direction, technical guidance and mentoring.
• Champion distributed micro-frontend architectures and advanced engineering practices.
• Define and enforce CI/CD, DevOps and deployment best practices on platforms such as OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
• Evaluate and integrate AI assistant coding tools and emerging technologies.
• Advise senior management and business stakeholders on strategy and roadmaps, and stay current on financial services regulation and technology trends.

Required profile

• Demonstrable experience architecting and delivering large-scale enterprise full-stack platforms with Java, ReactJS and Python.
• Proven track record of mission-critical investment and portfolio management systems serving millions of users, with high availability, low latency and resilience.
• Exceptional leadership experience leading multiple engineering squads and executing long-term technology roadmaps.
• Strong domain expertise in portfolio management platforms, including mandate-based management, investment guidelines, pre/post-trade compliance, performance attribution and client reporting, and portfolio construction and rebalancing.
• Experience integrating AI assistant coding tools and other innovative technologies.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
