Technical Project Manager – Manufacturing Automation

About the role

The Technical Project/Program Manager will lead automation technology projects within Applied Materials' Automation Technology Group. You will coordinate engineering activities, track progress, and deliver automation solutions for semiconductor manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and oversee project plans from conception through implementation, defining objectives across the business unit.
• Manage schedules and tasks using project management tools, reports, tracking charts, and scheduling software.
• Allocate resources, initiate capital requests, and handle purchase requisitions and orders.
• Lead multifunctional design teams, providing technical leadership to achieve project goals.
• Interface with customers to define objectives, give status updates, and prepare for release and deployment.
• Identify and resolve program complications, delivering solutions for complex issues.

Required profile

• More than 10 years of experience as a technical project manager in global manufacturing or semiconductor industry.
• Proactive, autonomous, and able to take initiative.
• Strong verbal presentation and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work across overseas time zones for meetings.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management tools and project scheduling software.
• Experience managing capital allocation, purchase requisitions, and purchase orders.
• Ability to manage cost‑schedule performance of equipment for internal and external customers.
