UX Designer – Digital Products & Platforms

About the role

As a UX Designer in the NCSS Digital Products and Platforms division, you will shape digital products, platforms and internal systems that help the social service sector work more effectively. You will move from understanding users and framing problems to prototyping, testing and supporting delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct user research (interviews, contextual inquiry, workshops, surveys, usability testing) to uncover needs, behaviours and constraints.
• Synthesise research and operational knowledge into insights, user journeys, service blueprints and opportunity areas.
• Facilitate co‑creation workshops to align users, stakeholders and delivery teams.
• Translate complex workflows, business rules and information into intuitive, accessible experiences.
• Create and iterate wireframes and interactive prototypes, refining designs through testing and feedback.
• Contribute to reusable design patterns and systems for consistency across products.
• Partner with product managers and engineers to shape feasible solutions and maintain design intent through implementation.
• Apply research findings and user feedback to continuously improve products after launch.
