Accountant – Devices & Services Controllership

About the role

Google is looking for an experienced accountant to join the APAC Devices & Services Controllership team. You will own end‑to‑end financial processes for the product area, partner with cross‑functional finance stakeholders, and help shape controls and risk‑management practices across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage financial processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial and budgetary reports for senior management.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve accounting controls and risk‑mitigation measures.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and international vendors to align financial objectives.
• Lead complex operational initiatives and drive process efficiencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
• Strong analytical ability and effective communication with senior leadership.
• Proven track record of managing projects and influencing multiple stakeholders.
