Accountant

About the role

BIT is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join its finance team. You will be responsible for the full set of accounts, ensuring accurate month‑end and year‑end close processes while supporting audit and tax activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journals, schedules and reconciliations for monthly and year‑end close.
• Work with external auditors on the annual statutory audit.
• Provide timely information to the tax team and assist with tax filings.
• Prepare and review financial reporting submissions for regulators.
• Monitor financial metrics and provide accounting support to internal stakeholders.
• Update accounting policies and improve financial control processes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, corporate policies, procedures and accounting standards.
• Participate in ad‑hoc finance projects and other finance‑related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in accounting with 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with a Big 4 audit firm is a plus.
• Strong sense of responsibility, self‑motivation and resourcefulness.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to acquire new knowledge.
• Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle stress.
