Accounts Assistant – 1 Year Contract (AP)

About the role

The Accounts Assistant will support the Accounts Payable function for multiple entities across the Southeast Asia region. This 1‑year contract role works closely with the Global Service Centre (GSC) AP Shared Services team based in the Philippines to ensure accurate invoice processing and timely payments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end Accounts Payable activities for SEA entities, including invoice receipt, coding, and processing.
• Collaborate daily with the GSC AP Shared Services team in the Philippines to maintain accuracy and meet processing deadlines.
• Resolve invoice and payment queries by liaising with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Execute weekly payment runs in line with internal controls, authorisation limits and compliance requirements.
• Administer employee expense claims and reimbursements, ensuring proper documentation.
• Perform supplier statement reconciliations, investigate and correct any discrepancies.
• Conduct weekly bank reconciliations to keep financial records up‑to‑date.
• Assist with month‑end closing activities and related financial reporting.
• Support the preparation of weekly cash‑flow forecasts for the finance team.
• Help transition Accounts Payable functions to the GSC team, ensuring a smooth hand‑over.
• Undertake ad‑hoc duties and projects as assigned by the finance manager.
