Application Tech Lead / Assistant Lead (ReactJS and Node.js)

About the role

Activate Interactive, a technology consultancy in Singapore, is looking for an Application Tech Lead / Assistant Lead (GS26009) to support the technical delivery of the SHARE project. The consultant translates business and user requirements into robust, secure and maintainable web and mobile applications, gives day-to-day technical guidance to the development team and works closely with the Tech Lead and Project Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers and business analysts to understand business needs and user requirements, and support requirement analysis.
• Support the delivery of specifications, application concepts, interface design and architecture for the SHARE project.
• Design, develop and maintain web and mobile application features using ReactJS, React Native and Node.js.
• Integrate applications with back-end databases (PostgreSQL, MSSQL) and RESTful APIs / web services.
• Review code, enforce coding standards, design patterns and best practices, and guide developers.
• Monitor compliance with security measures and public-sector requirements, and document architecture, code changes and issue resolutions.
• Analyze application usage reports, resolve problems, and support deployment, hosting and releases on cloud platforms (Azure / AWS).
• Assist the Tech Lead with effort estimation, task breakdown and coordination of development activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven hands-on development experience with ReactJS and Node.js delivering web and/or mobile applications.
• Experience integrating applications with relational databases (PostgreSQL / MSSQL) and RESTful APIs.
• Some experience providing technical guidance or leading a small team / work stream.
• Desirable: experience with React Native, cloud platforms (Azure / AWS), public-sector projects, CI/CD and DevOps practices.

Required skills

• Git and version control.
• Ability to mentor junior developers and give technical guidance.
