Area Finance Manager – Cashflow & Margin Management

About the role

The Area Finance Manager will lead cash‑flow planning, forecasting and reporting for Abbott’s Structural Heart division across the APAC region. You will shape annual cash‑flow strategies, ensure compliance with accounting standards and drive improvements in pricing, margin and inventory management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cash‑flow planning, forecasting and reporting for the Structural Heart division.
• Define and align annual cash‑flow strategies with business units, regional teams and country affiliates.
• Ensure compliance with international and local accounting standards and Abbott internal policies.
• Develop balance‑sheet forecasting methods tailored to country‑specific drivers.
• Monitor and improve accounts receivable performance, DSO tracking and payment term reviews.
• Support sales and operations planning by identifying risks, opportunities and bottlenecks.
• Create and govern a holistic pricing framework, collect annual pricing lists and drive margin improvement.
• Review GMI tracking, ASP movements, distressed inventory and influence related decisions across affiliates.
• Conduct regular balance‑sheet reviews, drive balance‑sheet forecasting and improve AR, DSO and balance‑sheet outcomes.
• Lead CAPEX reporting, track capital projects and support APHQ accruals and consolidation processes.
