Assistant Banquet Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Banquet Manager to support the Banquet Manager in delivering seamless banquet experiences at our beachfront resort in Singapore. The role combines operational oversight with guest‑focused service, ensuring each event meets the high standards of Shangri‑La.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Banquet Manager in the overall administration and execution of banquet events.
• Help maximise event profitability while maintaining exceptional guest service.
• Identify and resolve recurring operational issues to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Train, mentor and coach banquet staff to uphold service standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen, sales and front‑office teams to ensure smooth event flow.

Required profile

• Passion for food & beverage and hospitality.
• Strong interpersonal skills and enjoyment of guest interaction.
• Leadership mindset – leads by example and fosters team cohesion.
• Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel environment.
• Creative, detail‑oriented and adept at planning and problem‑solving.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
