Assistant Director, Part-Time Work-Study Degree Programmes

About the role

The Assistant Director will lead the management and development of Nanyang Technological University’s Part‑Time Work‑Study undergraduate programme portfolio. This position combines strategic programme development, stakeholder engagement, operational leadership and team supervision to deliver high‑quality learning pathways that align with national workforce priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end management of Part‑Time Work‑Study programmes, including marketing, admissions, administration, student services and graduation processes.
• Support the launch and ongoing delivery of new programmes and future portfolio offerings.
• Collaborate with colleges, schools, faculty and central units to ensure smooth operations, service excellence and compliance.
• Lead the development of new programme proposals with internal and external partners such as government agencies, professional bodies and industry.
• Coordinate outreach and promotional activities, including recruitment events and stakeholder engagement sessions.
• Manage reporting, data consolidation, quality assurance, accreditation and governance processes.
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to enhance programme relevance and partnership development.
• Supervise a small team, providing direction, support and performance oversight.

Required profile

• A good Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university.
• Relevant experience in programme management, higher education administration, continuing education or partnership development.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex programmes or projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing timelines.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and analytical skills.
