Assistant Financial Controller – Hotel Finance

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to support the Director of Finance at Novotel Singapore on Stevens. This position will oversee daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and lead a small accounting team within a dynamic hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting activities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
• Perform bank and month‑end reconciliations for all general‑ledger balances.
• Prepare trial balances, monthly financial statements, and management reports.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, fostering collaboration and meeting reporting deadlines.
• Conduct financial analysis of monthly results and present findings to the Director of Finance.
• Verify purchase requisitions against capital‑expenditure and expense budgets.
• Maintain sub‑ledger documentation and safeguard contracts related to accounting procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in senior finance or accounting roles.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulatory standards.
• Professional appearance and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with financial and accounting reporting systems.
