Assistant Manager (Accounting) - Client Solutions

About the role

Ocorian's Private Wealth & Corporate team helps individuals, families and businesses manage the complexity of cross-border wealth and corporate structures, handling governance, administration and regulatory obligations. As Assistant Manager (Accounting) in Client Solutions, you will work closely with the Senior Manager/Manager to manage a portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounting, payroll, tax and compliance services, mentoring juniors and driving process improvements. The role is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong, lasting client relationships while delivering accounting, payroll, GST, tax and XBRL compliance services.
• Prepare and review management accounts and financial statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery.
• Act as a trusted advisor on accounting, payroll and compliance matters.
• Lead the onboarding of new clients for a smooth transition.
• Mentor and develop junior team members through coaching, guidance and knowledge sharing.
• Identify process improvements and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to exceed client expectations.
• Maintain high standards of quality, compliance and professionalism across all engagements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy from a reputable university or an equivalent qualification.
• Currently pursuing a professional qualification such as ACCA or ISCA; Chartered Accountant status is an advantage.
• 3-4 years of experience in client accounting or a similar role, ideally in business services, corporate services or advisory.
• Excellent written and verbal English; Chinese is beneficial.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), ACRA, MOM, CPF and relevant tax regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting systems such as Xero, Navision or QuickBooks.
• Experience preparing financial statements for trust structures is an advantage.
