Assistant Manager – Communications & Engagement

About the role

The Prime Minister's Office Communications Group is seeking an Assistant Manager to drive digital storytelling and public engagement. You will create authentic content, manage online channels and help connect Singaporeans with government initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualise and produce high‑quality content for social media and other digital platforms.
• Build trust and connection through storytelling that reflects Singapore’s diversity and values.
• Monitor and manage the PMO’s digital channels to keep them engaging and responsive.
• Support live online coverage of key events and moments of national significance.
• Scan the digital landscape for emerging trends, conversations and opportunities.
• Analyse data and insights to refine communication strategies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver cohesive narratives.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in communications, digital media or related fields (fresh graduates welcome).
• A degree or diploma in a communications‑related discipline.
• Strong writing and communication skills; fluency in a second language is a plus.
• Deep familiarity with social media platforms, online culture and audience behaviour.
• Sound socio‑political awareness and understanding of current affairs.
• Analytical mindset with curiosity about what works and why.
• Collaborative, positive and professional attitude.
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays, and to travel for work.
