Assistant Manager, Learning & Development

About the role

The Assistant Manager, Learning & Development will support the design, delivery and continuous improvement of learning initiatives across PaxOcean Group. Working closely with business leaders, you will help build a culture of continuous learning and ensure the workforce has the skills needed for current and future challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of L&D strategies aligned with organisational goals.
• Conduct training needs analyses with business units to identify capability gaps.
• Coordinate workshops, leadership development programmes and employee development interventions.
• Maintain and roll‑out competency frameworks for various functions.
• Assist in managing graduate, management trainee and talent development programmes.
• Source and recommend internal and external training solutions.
• Monitor participation, learning outcomes and evaluate programme effectiveness.
• Prepare reports, dashboards and insights for data‑driven talent decisions.
• Administer learning records, training databases, budgets and vendor relationships.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development or related HR functions.
• Proven ability to conduct training needs analyses and manage development programmes.
• Familiarity with competency frameworks, LMS platforms and adult learning methodologies.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and project‑management capabilities.
• Professional, proactive and results‑oriented mindset.
