Assistant Manager, Logistics Operations and Optimization

About the role

The Assistant Manager, Logistics Operations and Optimization will lead RGE's freight operations while driving logistics excellence across the organization. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth shipment coordination, resolve issues promptly, and support both direct and indirect procurement functions.

Key responsibilities

• Own logistics operations and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders for shipment coordination and issue resolution.
• Drive supply‑chain process alignment, conduct checks and deliver training across the group.
• Manage 3PL performance, lead business and operations reviews to exceed KPIs, and act as escalation point for critical issues.
• Partner with business units to implement continuous‑improvement initiatives, leveraging digital and technology solutions.
• Share best practices and mentor team members to enhance departmental knowledge.

Required profile

• Degree in logistics, supply chain, engineering or business management.
• 5‑7 years of experience in logistics operations, including freight and warehousing.
• Proven experience managing service providers and handling inbound/outbound operations, documentation, permits and freight forwarding.
• Experience planning and executing enterprise transformation projects, especially digitalisation or AI initiatives.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills in a matrix environment.
• Analytical, hands‑on mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
