Assistant Manager / Manager, Internal Communications

About the role

The Assistant Manager / Manager, Internal Communications will drive employee engagement, reinforce brand pride, and build a connected, informed workforce. Reporting to the Internal Communications Lead, you will design and execute strategic internal communication initiatives that align with corporate narratives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement internal communication strategies supporting organisational objectives, key announcements and corporate initiatives.
• Plan and organise internal events such as quarterly town‑halls and annual leadership off‑sites, including post‑event surveys.
• Create and distribute compelling internal content across formats, manage content calendars and ensure timely delivery.
• Support change and crisis communications by crafting key messages, announcements and FAQs.
• Manage and enhance the SPH Media intranet as an active internal communications channel.
• Track, analyse and report on communication metrics (intranet usage, email open rates, employee feedback) to continuously improve engagement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least five years of experience in communications, marketing or related fields, preferably within media, corporate or public‑sector environments.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
• Excellent project‑management abilities, capable of multitasking and meeting tight deadlines.
• Data‑driven mindset with a focus on results and stakeholder engagement.
• High attention to detail, self‑motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
