Assistant Manager – Restaurant (Cantonese)

About the role

The client, an internationally branded lifestyle hotel in Singapore, is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the efficient operation of its Cantonese restaurant outlet. You will work closely with the Outlet Manager to deliver authentic service, maximise guest satisfaction and achieve financial targets within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in day‑to‑day running of the restaurant in line with corporate strategies and brand standards.
• Support the Outlet Manager in managing the outlet as an independent profit centre.
• Ensure maximum guest satisfaction while adhering to budgetary constraints.
• Drive financial success through effective cost control and operational management.
• Manage manpower costs and contribute to achieving financial goals.
• Communicate fluently with Mandarin‑speaking guests to ensure a seamless dining experience.
• Maintain high customer service standards and uphold operational standards across the outlet.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience as an Assistant Manager in a hotel or large Cantonese/Chinese restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant management and operational standards.
• Proven ability to manage manpower costs and drive financial performance.
• Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in both English and Mandarin, written and spoken.
• Can‑do attitude with a focus on delivering quality service.
