Assistant Manager, Tenancy Design

About the role

The Assistant Manager, Tenancy Design will support the Head of Department in overseeing retail tenancy design across multiple malls. The role focuses on guiding tenants through the design vetting process, ensuring brand expression aligns with each mall’s positioning while maintaining compliance with design guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Familiarise with and enforce design guidelines, plan submission and fit‑out procedures for malls such as Suntec City and Lazada One.
• Issue tenancy design guidelines to incoming retail tenants and conduct design briefings.
• Review, collate and provide creative input on tenant fit‑out proposals for compliance.
• Present tenant proposals to landlords and communicate management decisions.
• Resolve design issues and propose solutions that meet brand and mall objectives.
• Assist Centre Management Offices with design changeovers and conduct joint visual inspections.
• Track tenant design submissions, maintain records and support pre‑operation inspections.
• Provide layout options and preliminary design concepts for A&A works, including area calculations and AutoCAD drawings.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in interior design, architecture or a related field.
• Experience in retail fit‑out, tenancy design or similar real‑estate functions.
• Strong understanding of design guidelines and mall positioning.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with tenants, landlords and internal teams.
• Problem‑solving ability to address design challenges.
