Assistant Merchandiser – South Asia (Luxury Retail)

About the role

The Assistant Merchandiser will support the Merchandising Manager in driving sales and sell‑through for Men’s Shoes and Leather Goods across the South Asia region. This 1‑year fixed‑term position offers hands‑on exposure to regional merchandising within a luxury retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare seasonal buys using sales analysis, develop product strategies and identify opportunities in collaboration with the Merchandising Manager.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to set OTB budgets and ensure product assortments align with brand guidelines and sales targets.
• Design allocation strategies for seasonal and permanent SKUs, partner with Supply Chain to optimise stock flow, and coordinate with Retail and E‑Commerce teams to maximise sell‑through.
• Collaborate with Visual Merchandising on product launches, store openings and events, and with Training to create product training materials.
• Produce weekly and monthly sales reports, analyse performance, and provide actionable feedback on collections.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in merchandising or buying, preferably within luxury retail or a fashion house.
• Strong knowledge of South Asia fashion markets and excellent stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Proactive, results‑oriented, highly organised and able to work under pressure.
