About the role

The School of Materials Science and Engineering at NTU Singapore seeks outstanding scholars to join its faculty as Assistant Professors on a tenure‑track basis. The position offers the opportunity to develop an independent research programme in any area of Materials Science and to contribute to world‑class teaching and service.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead a high‑impact research agenda in Materials Science and Engineering.
• Secure competitive research funding from national and international agencies.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, develop curricula, and supervise MSc/PhD students.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary research centres and industry partners.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Materials Science, Materials Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated excellence in research with a strong publication record.
• Potential to build a sustainable, internationally recognised research group.
