Assistant Reservation Manager

About the role

The Assistant Reservation Manager supports the Reservations Manager in overseeing the hotel’s group sales, planning, and daily reservations operations. You will help ensure smooth inventory management, coordinate group bookings, and contribute to revenue optimization while delivering memorable guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing room inventory, group blocks, cut‑off dates, rate restrictions, and occupancy strategies.
• Process group reservations, rooming lists, billing requirements, and special requests, acting as a liaison between planners, housing bureaus, and internal teams.
• Monitor reservation activity and support rate and occupancy strategies to maximize revenue.
• Handle reservation inquiries and provide service to team members and guests as needed.
• Support departmental projects, prepare reports, and provide administrative assistance to reservations leadership.
• Supervise and coach team members, monitor performance, and foster a positive work environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in reservations, revenue, or hotel operations, preferably in a leadership role.
• Strong administrative, organizational, and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to identify and act on revenue opportunities.
• Positive, adaptable attitude focused on team success and guest satisfaction.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hotel systems: OnQ PM, R&I, Delphi, IDeaS GRO v3.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
