Assistant Sales Manager (Marine MRO)

About the role

The Assistant Sales Manager (Marine MRO) will support the sales team by delivering technical expertise and advisory services for marine engineering systems. This role bridges the gap between customers and internal engineering, ensuring solutions are cost‑effective and aligned with client needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pre‑ and post‑sales technical support for marine engineering systems and components.
• Prepare commercial proposals, cost estimates, and technical presentations tailored to client requirements.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to design efficient, cost‑effective solutions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers through meetings, site visits, and follow‑ups.
• Identify, pursue, and secure business opportunities to meet sales targets, including tender submissions and contract negotiations.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipelines, and client records using CRM platforms.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to recommend product and service enhancements.
• Coordinate with operations and service teams to ensure seamless project execution and post‑project evaluation.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Marine, or related Engineering disciplines.
• 3‑5 years of experience in technical sales or support within the marine or industrial sector.
• Strong understanding of engineering systems, preferably marine machinery or rotating equipment.
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets and managing client accounts.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Willingness to travel regionally or internationally as required.
